ODAA wasn't built from a business plan. It was built from a life.

From growing up too perceptive, too loud, too much for every room. From learning that wisdom does not come from credentials alone — it comes from courage, curiosity, and the willingness to sit with people in their real.

The ODAA origin

People don't leave businesses. They leave feeling unseen.

That is where the real meaning of retention started — long before it ever went into a deck.

A weirdo. A masker. Someone who spent years performing neurotypical in rooms that were never built for this brain. Neurodivergent. ADHD. The gap was real and nobody was filling it right.

Decades in corporate rooms — the mirror nobody wanted, the voice they could not quite silence. Teenagers the system had already written off. Families held together in their worst moments. Retention teams that grew from 8 to 80.

All of it pointing to the same thing most leaders miss — people don't leave businesses. They leave feeling unseen.

The ODAA team is not all wired the same way. But every person on it was chosen for their ability to meet people where they are — to hold space for the way someone actually works, not the way a system expects them to.

That is not a soft skill. That is the whole job.

The villain in more stories than can be counted. The one who said the thing. Flagged the thing. Refused to pretend the thing was not happening.

Not because of the friction — because watching people get harmed by silence is not something that can be stayed quiet through. Better to be the one who said it than the one who looked away.

What ODAA is built on

Because at the end of it all — it has always been about seeing the humanity in us all.

ODAA is not built on a methodology. It is built on a way of seeing. Working here means working with someone who has lived the chaos, the masking, the building while burning, the being told to wait your turn — and who stopped waiting.

How we hold the work

The standard is human. The work is still excellent.
